Sam graduated from James Buchanan High School in 2015, after feeling the heavy push from God to pursue something in ministry he attended South Carolina School of Leadership for 2 years. While in SCSL Samuel was able to go on his very first missions trip to Beijing, China with the focus of the trip being organizing a VBS for some of the local kids in the area. There was also a need to help out the orphanage with daily tasks where his team was staying. The following year Sam was on a missions team heading to Addis Ababa Ethiopia. While in Ethiopia the main focus of the trip was on serving a few foster homes in the local area. Sam then graduated from SCSL in the summer of 2017 and from there he came back home and felt that push to still be around kids, so he started helping in little ways with Surge Kids. Missions is very big on Sam’s heart through prayer and guidance he was able to travel and be apart of an organization in Hyderabad, India called Sarah's Covenant Homes. He spent six months in India and loved every moment spent with the kids and the local staff.
Sam is a very outgoing person and loves being around people he’s always up for any adventure. You can normally catch him outside taking pictures or on hikes with his family or at his favorite place to get coffee which has to be Dunkin' Donuts. Sam has a huge heart to see kid's lives impacted and transformed with the love of Christ.
